Kin Canada’s National Day of KINdness, a National service project of Kin Canada, was created in 2013 as a way for members of Kin Canada across the country to connect directly with people in their communities in celebration of Founder Harold A. Rogers.
Founder Hal, as he is affectionately known, after returning to Hamilton, Ontario after serving in World War I, brought together a few of his friends and founded Kinsmen, a Canadian service club, which held its first meeting on February 20, 1920. The Kinsmen, now known across Canada as Kin Canada, is made up of Kinsmen, Kinette, Kin and Kin Campus Clubs from across the country that devotes their service and interest to what Kin Canada calls “Serving our Community’s Greatest Need”.
